Every day during our afterschool program, students are able to explore new interests, strengthen academic skills, collaborate with peers, and express themselves in ways that extend far beyond the regular school day. None of this would be possible without your kindness.\r\n\r\nOur students are especially grateful for the chance to learn in a safe, engaging, and enriching environment where curiosity is encouraged and success is celebrated. Because of your kindness, our students now have access to engaging educational games and STEAM toys that make learning both meaningful and joyful. Your generosity has had an immediate and positive impact on our classroom community.\r\n\r\nThe educational games you provided are helping our students build important early skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, turn-taking, and early literacy. Through hands-on play, children are learning how to think critically, communicate with peers, and practice patience and perseverance—all while having fun. These experiences are especially valuable at the Kindergarten level.\r\n\r\nThe STEAM toys have sparked incredible curiosity and excitement among our students. They encourage creativity, exploration, and experimentation as children design, build, test, and revise their ideas. Even though the microscopes we originally requested were sold out, I was lucky enough to borrow some, and your donations provided us with beautiful microscope slide sets to explore. My students' faces lit up the first time they peered through the lenses—suddenly, wings, antennae, and even a butterfly leg became fascinating up-close worlds they had never imagined.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the slides, we received a Butterfly Pavilion, which has become the heart of our classroom. My students were thrilled to name each of our caterpillars (who are now pupas!) and eagerly observe and journal their changes every other day. This hands-on experience has deepened their understanding of life cycles and sparked meaningful conversations about how all living things grow and change.\r\n\r\nYour gift has not only given my learners the chance to be scientists, but it has also inspired curiosity, patience, and wonder. As we await the butterflies' emergence, my students are making predictions, recording careful observations, and learning the value of scientific exploration.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students this opportunity to see the world in a whole new way.","fullyFundedDate":1757542288012,"projectUrl":"project/little-scientists-exploring-the-world-t/9679770/","projectTitle":"Little Scientists: Exploring the World Through Microscopes","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Emfinger","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10099607_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757041141230","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10099607"},{"teacherId":9827377,"projectId":9225427,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for adding these books to our shelves! \r\nI started off by reading each one to the class and now they love to look through them on their own.
