I teach 245 students in one semester and an additional 245 in the second semester. These pictures are just what a few have created since I have received the most thoughtful donation.\r\n\r\nWe have made water paint 3D hearts using water paint, sharpie markers, brushes and crayons donated. We then started Van Gogh and made sunflowers using construction paper, scissors, glue and oil pastels from the donation. The kids also made a collage using colored pencils for shading from the donation. We are just now starting St Patrick's Day gnomes. Those are being created on poster board (cut in 4's), sharpie markers, construction paper and glue- again, all from the donation. You can see my classroom uses everything we can to make fun projects!!\r\n\r\nIn addition, my classroom went from looking like a science lab. Cold and boring, to a lovely atmosphere where kids come by to say hi who don't even have me. I LOVE the way it turned out. I LOVE having a printer in my own classroom. We have started using the new pickleball/badminton equipment for our new pickleball/badminton club. We meet every Tuesday morning to play and learn new skills. Originally we were using 20 year old wooden paddles. The students were so excited to see the new paddles and how they were so much more like \"real\" paddles that they have seen outside of school. The nets have been great as well. Our few old nets that we had were not regulation size and were sagging in the middle and falling apart.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for our club is to try to recruit more students to join. Eventually we would like to start tournaments and have \"invite a teacher to play\" days.
