With crayons, markers, glue, and paper available to everyone, we've been able to start an Illustration Unit project where students draw and label their own stories. These supplies are giving my students the tools they need to express themselves and bring their ideas to life.\r\n\r\nThe moment I placed the new supplies on their tables, their eyes lit up! They were so excited to get their hands on the new supplies. My young learners were unfamiliar with some of the materials we received, so we had to take a couple of days to explore and create with our new goodies. It was heartwarming to see their joy and eagerness to dive into creating.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue building on their creativity by connecting art with writing. Right now, we are working on illustrations as part of our early writing block, and the new supplies will help my students add details, color, and meaning to their stories. Soon, we'll begin creating class books where each child contributes a page—using the new resources to showcase their learning.
