For many of them, this was their first time even hearing about the sport—let alone having high-quality equipment to use. The moment we opened the boxes, it felt like the gym transformed into a whole new kind of classroom: one filled with curiosity, teamwork, and nonstop movement.\r\n\r\nWe've integrated the new pickleball gear into our PE curriculum, and it's been a game-changer—literally! One of the most memorable moments came during a recent unit where students not only learned the rules and techniques of pickleball, but also created their own mini-tournaments. They designed brackets, kept score, and even gave short sportsmanship speeches before matches. Watching them take ownership of their learning while encouraging one another on the court was incredibly rewarding.\r\n\r\nThese resources have opened the door for us to explore much more than just physical fitness. Students are building communication skills, learning to strategize, and even applying basic math concepts as they score and referee games. The best part? They're having so much fun, they hardly realize how much they're learning.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, we've been able to introduce a new sport that will continue to impact our students for years to come. As we look ahead, we're excited to host our first-ever school-wide pickleball challenge—an event where students from different grades can compete, collaborate, and celebrate their new skills.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of our hearts: thank you for helping us serve up something special.
