These hands-on learning tools have transformed the way my students engage with science, technology, engineering, and math. Instead of simply reading about coding or problem-solving, my students now get to experience it in action. They collaborate to program their Spheros to navigate mazes, complete challenges, and even act out stories, which has made learning both exciting and meaningful.\r\n\r\nThe Spheros have especially helped my students develop perseverance and critical thinking. When their code doesn't work, they troubleshoot, test, and try again—skills that extend far beyond the classroom. I've also seen an increase in teamwork and communication as students work together to plan and execute their projects.\r\n\r\nFor many students, this was their first time using a coding robot, and it has sparked new interest in STEM fields that they hadn't considered before. The Sphero robots have turned abstract concepts into real-world experiences, inspiring creativity and confidence in every learner.","fullyFundedDate":1679950122216,"projectUrl":"project/5th-grade-coding-and-stem/7166386/","projectTitle":"5th Grade Coding and STEM","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bolinger","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8032563_orig.jpg?crop=622,622,x279,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1675353478509","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8032563"},{"teacherId":8032563,"projectId":9000119,"letterContent":"I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for your generous donation of Sphero robots to our 4th/5th-grade classrooms. Our class was so excited to get started, and I know they will learn so much more through hands-on experiences that you've made possible. They beg to use the robots daily.
