The students are enjoying using the balance board when they feel their bodies need bigger movement to focus. Many of the students are using the squish balls when they feel nervous or angry, and one group of students are using them to help build their fine motor strength to help them become better at writing and cutting. Two of my students have benefited from the chewie tools and their parents have expressed gratitude for saving their clothing from holes and rips due to nervous habits. All of my students in the classroom benefit from the increased focus of their friends as it makes our classroom a clam and safe learning environment. As the children grow this year, and for many ears to come, they will have the knowledge and tools they need to help be their best learning selves.
