Through these new texts, students are learning how to analyze characters and themes, compare perspectives, support ideas with evidence, ask thoughtful questions, and participate in meaningful discussions with peers. Our students explore both fiction and nonfiction texts while practicing critical thinking, vocabulary development, and written responses. During book studies, students work together to share ideas, debate interpretations, and make real-world connections. The new books have helped create an environment where students are excited to read, think, and learn together.\r\n\r\nMany students have especially enjoyed the opportunity to dive into challenging texts and strategy games that encourage creativity and advanced thinking. Some students who are naturally curious have found joy in discussing deeper themes and solving complex problems with classmates, while others have gained confidence by sharing their ideas during discussions and collaborative activities.
