This grant has provided 75 second graders with high interest materials that are being used to explore the seven continents and five oceans. \r\n The students have been so excited to place stickers in their passports, work together on floor puzzles and learning centers, and independently practice labeling the continents and oceans. This unit has been become a class favorite and the students have shown greater retention of the material than in previous years.\r\n Most of these materials will be able to be used for years to come.
