So far this year, we have explored biodiversity in the garden (see image of a student finding a praying mantis, among other wonderful creature friends), grown and harvested tomatoes, started various plants from cuttings and seeds, and more!\r\n\r\nSoon, we will be embarking on our agriculture unit as part of AP Environmental Science, and maintaining this garden is essential for students to explore topics such as alternative pest control methods, irrigation, and composting. We have also conducted soil labs, including nutrient tests, chemical tests, and investigations of soil texture and porosity.
