Through hands-on centers, they are experimenting with magnetic tiles and other building tools to create structures, explore patterns, and discover concepts like balance, shape, and design. It has been wonderful to see them bring their ideas to life, collaborate with their classmates, and use art vocabulary to explain their creative choices. When my artists first saw the new materials, their curiosity and excitement were contagious! They were eager to begin building, testing their ideas, and discovering all the different things they could create.\r\n\r\nThese resources are helping my artists understand that art is about so much more than creating a finished picture. It is also about experimenting, problem-solving, taking risks, and learning from challenges. As we continue incorporating these materials into our art and STEM centers, my artists will have opportunities to design more complex structures, explore balance and stability, and work together to solve creative challenges. I am excited to watch their confidence grow as they discover that there is often more than one way to solve a problem or bring an idea to life. Students use the resources during independent art stations and they have inspired more creativity and confidence in their work. As we continue our current lessons, students will be exploring the materials and creating artwork that reflects their own ideas and interests. My artists LOVED getting to use the ChompSaw. We learned about African American artists, Kimmy Cantrell, then students get to design and create their own masks.\r\nWhen my artists first saw their ChompSaw it was loud! The kids were cheering with pure excitement! Some were scared they would get hurt but after we went over safety procedures they all quickly realized how safe this tool was and couldn't wait to use it.\r\nMy 5th grade artists have finished their projects with the ChompSaw and now my 4th grade artists are chomping at the bit to get a new project that will allow them to use it. As soon as the exercise balls were inflated, the curiosity began to build. When the students saw the puck lights being charged and placed into the buckets, the anticipation reached a new level. Students were immediately asking when we were going to start. \r\n\r\nWatching our students \"Rock Out\" has been an absolute joy. They aren't just exercising; they are dancing, singing, and truly moving their bodies for the pure fun of it. It is so much fun to see such universal engagement, where every student is smiling while getting a high-intensity workout.\r\n\r\nYour contribution has provided us with more than just gear; you've provided a sustainable way for our kids to fall in love with fitness.
