As a small K–5 one-room schoolhouse, our students learn, work, play, and grow together every day. Having enough seating to bring everyone together for lunch may seem like a small thing, but for our students, it creates a special opportunity to sit together as one school family. \r\n\r\nWith our new table and additional chairs, all of our students can now gather around the same table for lunch. This gives our youngest and oldest students the chance to talk, laugh, share stories, and build relationships across grade levels. It creates a sense of belonging and community that is at the heart of what makes our rural school so special.
