These journals became a special space where students could continue writing, drawing, and exploring their ideas, helping them maintain and grow their literacy skills outside of the classroom. I started working at my school this year and they did not have many things for my students to use to help them grow in the learning process. When I showed my students the fun things that we got from a surprise donation they were so excited. They all love using the counting stars to help them with math. They are a huge hit. Having the magnetic money has come in handy multiple times so far this year. They love actually holding them in their hands and counting and to visually see the coins helps a ton.\r\nThe cute little pop its help us to count out our sounds in words to help us write better sentences. The connecting cubes also help us to learn the differences between 10's and 1's. \r\nOne thing that is a huge hit is the counting and sorting dinosaurs.
