Because of your generosity, our students were able to hatch chicks right in our classroom using the incubator and brooder you helped provide. The students carefully monitored the temperature and humidity, turned the eggs, and eagerly counted down the days until hatch day. Watching the chicks pip and slowly hatch was an unforgettable moment. The room filled with cheers as each chick made its way out of the shell, and the students were amazed to see the life cycle they had been studying happen right in front of them.\r\n\r\nWhen the chicks finally arrived in the brooder, the excitement only grew. Students were fascinated to observe how quickly the chicks began moving, chirping, eating, and drinking. They took turns helping check on them and learning what animals need to grow and stay healthy. For many students, this was their very first time seeing a chick hatch or holding a baby chicken, and it sparked so many questions and conversations about science, farming, and responsibility.\r\n\r\nThe learning has continued even after hatch day. Some of our students' families were able to bring a chick home to raise, which made the experience even more meaningful as the learning extended beyond our classroom walls. In class, we are continuing to observe the remaining chicks as they grow and change while connecting what we see to our lessons on life cycles and animal care. Your generosity created a hands-on learning experience that our students will remember for years to come, and we are so grateful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1746566692280,"projectUrl":"project/incubating-curiosity-help-us-raise-clas/9248953/","projectTitle":"Incubating Curiosity: Help Us Raise Classroom Chicks!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hendrickson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5587942_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1535217741627","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/dhendrickson2022"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_86626","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":359,"numTeachers":23,"percentFrplEligible":39,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":66,"percentIndigenous":8,"percentLatinx":11,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"1 - 3","studentTeacherRatio":"15.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":81.4,"schoolId":86626,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Tuttle Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Tuttle Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oklahoma/tuttle-public-schools/tuttle-elementary-school/86626"}
