Having more hands on materials for our magnetic wall/light table has been amazing. Seeing the students use, explore and problem solve as shown us how important these types of materials are for our littlest learners. \r\n We use the materials in one of our classroom centers. This current school year has been the first time we were able to get the materials out and boy and boy do we have sad friends if they do not get a chance to play at the area. From the moment they all got to explore with them they have been excited.\r\n Some of the items took some real problem solving as well and that was really neat to watch them figure out the best way to use/place the items to make the magnetic path work, use their imagination with magnetic people, and use the magnetic marble run. Donors like all of you really make a difference to teachers and we appreciate you more then you know. My next steps would be to keep observing my students using these items and see what would be next to add to their learning. Seeing the students use and explore with the materials has been a true joy!\r\n We use the materials in one of our classroom centers. The students also get a chance to use them at their tables as they come in during the morning time. We call this table tubs and when table time is over I definitely have some sad friends. From the moment they all got to explore with them they have been excited. Some of the items took some problem solving as well and that was really neat to watch them figure out the best way to use the items. \r\n My next steps for this project would be to keep add more research based hands on manipulatives to build their fine motor, problem solving, and curiosity.
