One moment that stood out was watching a group of students who usually rush through work actually slow down and choose an enrichment task they were excited about — it changed the whole tone of the class. The activities give them something positive to look forward to and keep them learning from bell to bell.\r\n\r\nThese materials also support our Family & Consumer Sciences lessons on responsibility, self-management, and personal growth. The moment I rolled the cart back out fully stocked, students immediately noticed and said things like, \"Thank you—this helps so much,\" and \"I really needed this today.\" Many of my students don't always have access to hygiene items at home, and being able to get what they need quietly and without embarrassment has helped them feel more confident and comfortable during the school day.\r\n\r\nWe've already been using the supplies daily. Students are grabbing deodorant, lotion, feminine products, dental care items, and other essentials as needed. It's allowed them to take care of themselves quickly and discreetly so they can get back to learning without feeling self-conscious. I've had students tell me they feel \"more prepared,\" \"less stressed,\" and even \"more confident walking into class.\" It's a simple thing, but it has a huge impact on their attendance, mood, and overall ability to focus.\r\n\r\nThis project also ties perfectly into the lessons we teach in Family & Consumer Sciences. We talk about personal wellness, building healthy routines, and taking responsibility for our own self-care. Now, I can give students real-life examples and support them with the tools they need. As we move into our next units on self-development and interpersonal skills, students will be able to continue practicing healthy habits supported by these resources.
