With your support, our class was able to explore A Midsummer Night's Dream in a way that truly worked for my ESOL students. The graphic novels you provided made Shakespeare's dense language accessible and engaging. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, students were excited to follow the story and understand the humor and magic behind it.\r\n\r\nI also introduced one of the most popular parts of Shakespeare's writing through Oberon's dialogue—the passage that begins \"I know a bank where the wild thyme blows, where oxlips sleep and the nodding violet grows...\" This beautiful description of the enchanted place where Titania rests captivated my students. Several even memorized parts of it and recited them with pride. Watching them connect with Shakespeare's imagery was incredible. It's been a great way to get students to put their phones down and immerse themselves in literature.\r\n\r\nWhen the graphic novels first arrived, the excitement was real—students loved the visuals and how they helped clarify the plot. It made the story feel approachable and fun.","fullyFundedDate":1753974964436,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-esol-students-through-shakesp/9458374/","projectTitle":"Empowering ESOL Students Through Shakespeare","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Jackson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3807854_orig.png?crop=1460,1459,x0,y14&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1657369167904","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3807854"},{"teacherId":3807854,"projectId":9075510,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting our classroom! The headsets you provided are already making a big difference for our English learners. This is the first year we've been able to start preparing students for the ACCESS test in advance, and the technology is helping us create a more authentic practice environment. Students can listen, speak, and record responses just like they will during the official test, which builds confidence and reduces anxiety.\r\n\r\nWhat excites our students most is the chance to use real testing tools before the big day. They love the interactive aspect—speaking into the headset feels professional and gives them a sense of readiness. For many, this is their first experience with technology that mirrors state testing, and it's empowering.\r\n\r\nWhile it's still early to measure the full impact, we've already seen some students really embrace the practice sessions. A few who were shy about speaking English are now volunteering to go first because the headset makes it feel less intimidating and more like a game. This is a huge step toward improving their language skills and self-assurance.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping us give our students the tools they need to succeed!","fullyFundedDate":1746786392409,"projectUrl":"project/enhancing-esol-learning-through-technolo/9075510/","projectTitle":"Enhancing ESOL Learning Through Technology","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Jackson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3807854_orig.png?crop=1460,1459,x0,y14&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1657369167904","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3807854"},{"teacherId":5099976,"projectId":9118838,"letterContent":"On behalf of the students and staff at Tri-Cities High School, I extend our sincerest gratitude for your generous support of our sound healing initiative through Donors Choose.
