My students were so surprised at how quickly I could create a personalized metal or wooden keychain so accurately and with precise measurements. \r\n\r\nI was able to allow them to choose imagines or words show them how to resize them, of course we talked about the importance of metric versus US measurements. Then how to accurately place it of the computer program so that the laser engraver would be able to engrave it exactly where they wanted it. We then talked about the electrical energy be transformed to light and heat and the chemical changes it was making to the item it was engraving. We talked about how changing the setting would either increase the amount of energy or the lower it and how the speed of the laser could be adjusted to lighten or darken the image as well. She loves having areas she can hide away from everyone and everything. She enjoys having 2 stories to go back and forth in and I love all the ways to access the inside to clean it. It has bowls that are just the perfect size for her. My classes absolutely love having Luna in class and we have talked about her multiple times when learning about learning about animals, mammals, body structures, and multiple other science standards. We have even made math word problems with Luna in them. \r\nMy class was so excited for Luna when they came in and saw the new hutch for Luna. We have even had multiple other teachers ask how it works having a rabbit as a class pet and how I keep her hutch so clean! (And not stinky!) Which is super easy with this hutch. My classes love explaining how we take care of Luna and I love hearing them include some of the conversations we have had in class using their standards. It is a real and easy way to help some of my students make connections and understand why we learn what we do when I can relate it back to our class pets.","fullyFundedDate":1763617585484,"projectUrl":"project/a-hutch-for-our-hopping-class-pet/9864103/","projectTitle":"A Hutch for Our Hopping Class Pet!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nelson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8704475_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1663425581501","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/nelsonj"},{"teacherId":8704475,"projectId":9354828,"letterContent":"Thank you supporting this project and allowing my class to have an unforgetable last week of 5th grade!
