We began using them right away during our daily center time and sensory breaks. Students are choosing their own Tonie characters, placing them on the Toniebox, and independently listening to stories and songs. One of my favorite moments was watching a student who is typically hesitant to engage sit down, select a character, and remain focused and calm while listening—then smile and repeat the activity again. It has quickly become a meaningful part of our classroom routine.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new Tonies, their excitement was immediate! They were eager to explore the different characters, and many recognized familiar songs and stories. The simple, hands-on design allows even my emerging communicators to participate independently, which has been incredible to see. \r\n\r\nAs we continue using these resources, our next steps include incorporating the Toniebox into small group instruction to support listening comprehension and language development. We are also pairing the stories with visuals and extension activities to build vocabulary and engagement. Your support has truly made a difference in helping my students access learning in a way that meets their unique needs—thank you for being a part of our classroom! 💛","fullyFundedDate":1773175207418,"projectUrl":"project/press-play-for-learning-tonies-for-our/10133176/","projectTitle":"Press Play for Learning: Tonies for Our Autism Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sara","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8812082_orig.png?crop=959,959,x51,y6&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1772740600236","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-sara-asd"},{"teacherId":8930342,"projectId":9072752,"letterContent":"I would like to personally thank all of you for supporting my project. The fact that people found this project worth donating to has made my students and myself feel supported and loved. \r\n\r\nThe students really like the ergo dynamic feel of the mice, and love that they light up! Students have also stated that the mice are smooth and make using the computers so much easier than the old mice we had.
