Your donation has made a profound difference in our daily learning environment, and my second graders are absolutely thrilled with their new tools.\r\n In a busy second-grade classroom, managing ambient noise can be a significant challenge. Before receiving these headphones, students often struggled to hear their audio lessons and digital story paths over the natural chatter of small-group activities.\r\nNow, these high-quality, comfortable headphones have completely transformed how we use HMH Waggle for our adaptive reading and math blocks. Students can now slide on their headphones and immediately dive into their independent work without being distracted by their peers.\r\n Listening to targeted instruction: Our HMH Waggle platform features critical audio-driven learning paths, hints, and feedback tailored to each student's specific reading and math level. With headphones, students can clearly hear instruction, play skill-based games, and build foundational skills at their own pace. Students who previously felt self-conscious about working on different levels can now focus entirely on their own growth, unlocking rewards and gems in a private, stress-free digital space.\r\n Just this week during our station rotations, the classroom was a hub of varied activities. A few students were working with me on a guided lesson, while another group used their new headphones to work through their personalized HMH Waggle pathways. The room was calm, focused, and every single student was successfully engaged in their task. Seeing the look of pure concentration and joy on their faces as they successfully navigate their lessons independently is the greatest gift a teacher could ask for.\r\n Your belief in our classroom and your investment in these young learners means the world to us. You have not only provided essential physical resources but also sent a powerful message to my second graders that their education matters.\r\nThank you for being a champion for our students!","fullyFundedDate":1784477886979,"projectUrl":"project/hear-to-learn-focus-to-concentrate-hea/10346653/","projectTitle":"Hear to Learn, Focus to Concentrate: Headphones for Second Grade","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Casey","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10535766"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_13874","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":434,"numTeachers":47,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":8,"percentBlack":9,"percentWhite":6,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":72,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":2,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"9.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":61.5,"schoolId":13874,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Townewest Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Townewest Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/fort-bend-independent-school-district/townewest-elementary-school/13874"}
