Because of your support, our life skills classroom has been transformed into a space where independence, daily routine, and hands-on learning come to life every single day.\r\n\r\nWhen the boxes first arrived, my students' eyes lit up with absolute joy! They could not wait to unpack everything. Having tools designed specifically for them—especially the kid-safe knives, the rolling kitchen cart, and the child-sized sweeper and dustpans—made them feel so special, capable, and grown-up.\r\n\r\nWe have already put these resources to great use during our daily life skills stations. Just recently, our rolling kitchen cart became our official classroom snack prep hub. Using visual recipe cards alongside our morning slides routine, the students worked together to prep a fruit snack. Using the kid-safe knives, each student took turns slicing soft fruit, practicing fine motor coordination, hand-eye control, and safety in a supportive environment. Once snack time was over, they grabbed the floor sweeper and mini brooms to clean up after themselves. Seeing the sheer pride on their faces as they completed the routine and realized they could do it \"all by myself\" was a victory worth celebrating.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our next steps involve expanding our snack station into multi-step visual recipes to practice measuring, pouring, and sequencing. We are also building out a visual daily job chart so every student takes turn-taking ownership of sweeping, wiping down tables, and keeping our classroom space organized.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has given my students powerful stepping stones toward lifelong independence and self-reliance.
