My students were so excited when they saw all of the snacks that had been donated for them. The gasps of surprise and giggles of delight were so fun to hear as we opened each box of fun snacks. Before this project, our classroom snack supply was very limited, and I was worried about consistently providing snacks throughout the school year.\r\n\r\nNow, my students know that there is something available when they are hungry, and I don't have to worry about running out after just a few days. We have already started enjoying snacks during our school day, and the kids love seeing what choices are available. I ended up in the hospital and on extended leave from school. They have a cushion on the ear pieces that make the headphone comfortable and allow them to focus on their learning. \r\n\r\nThe sound cancelling headphones have been great for my students who are bothered by the background noises in the classroom. We received 4 different colors (blue, green, and purple). The students were so eager to claim a cushion as their own.\r\n\r\nWe use these cushions all the time in first grade. In first grade we are not always working at our desks. The students are often sitting on the reading carpet listening to stories, they are playing math games with partners around the classroom, and they are having independent reading time. In all these situations the students are now doing these activities with their seat cushions in comfort. \r\n\r\nStudents are more willing to participate when they are comfortable. My students are very thankful for the cushions.
