Because of your donation, I was able to create a classroom environment where every student can explore, learn, and practice new skills in a fun, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate way.\r\n\r\nWith your help, we received light tables, Play-Doh, tongs, beads, scoops, tweezers, sensory fillers, and multiple themed sensory bins—materials that may seem simple, but make an enormous impact on young learners. These tools allow my students to learn through touch, movement, and hands-on play, which is exactly how they learn best at this age.\r\n\r\nThe difference has been incredible. Students who once avoided writing tasks now eagerly begin their day by squeezing Play-Doh to warm up their hands. One of my students who struggled with hand strength proudly showed me he could finally pinch the tongs correctly after weeks of practicing with our new bead and pom-pom activities. Another student, who often became frustrated during fine motor tasks, now independently chooses a sensory bin to help her calm her body and refocus before returning to work.\r\n\r\nThese materials do so much more than keep students busy—they help them develop the strength, coordination, and confidence needed for important classroom skills like writing, cutting, and manipulating small objects. Many of my students need this hands-on \"pre-writing\" work before they are ready to hold a pencil or use scissors with confidence, and your support made that possible.\r\n\r\nWhat I've loved most is watching my students stay authentically engaged. Their faces light up when they discover a new bin or master a new tool. They are learning by doing, building foundational skills, and having fun every single day.\r\n\r\nYour generosity didn't just fund supplies; it created daily opportunities for growth, exploration, and success. Thank you for believing in my students and helping create a classroom environment where every child can thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1760483544782,"projectUrl":"project/sense-sational-fun/9463632/","projectTitle":"Sense-Sational Fun!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kanazeh","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4765036_orig.jpg?crop=396,396,x0,y40&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752541401758","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kanazeh"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_7793","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":360,"numTeachers":23,"percentFrplEligible":26,"percentAsian":5,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":43,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":31,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":13,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":97.4,"schoolId":7793,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Timber Point Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Timber Point Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/byron-union-school-district/timber-point-elementary-school/7793"}
