The calming room has benefited both the students and adults in the school. The students who are struggling in the classroom often find respite in this room. They walk into the room and seem to immediately de-escalate. They are able to focus, relax, and recuperate in the environment that you have assisted in developing. They often request to return to do their assignments or just take a break. \r\n\r\nThe calming room not only benefits students throughout the school day but teachers also utilize the room at the end of a stressful day to regroup. They turn on the sound machine and relax in non-student chairs and collect themselves after a long day of teaching. \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThank you for the blessings that you have bestowed on Tikigaq Elementary School. It truly made a difference! They would run everywhere with their ribbons, making loops, snakes, and whatever they could come up with. Not only did they have fun, their running was truly a cardio workout! \r\nThey also enjoyed the balls, bat, and bases. They learned the rules of baseball and they also improved their teamwork. I enjoyed their emotional growth, and they enjoyed a \"new\" activity.
