I LOVE my job and it's only gotten better this year with the tools I now have in my cupboard. Your support allowed us to fully fund our initial goal AND several extra projects.\r\n\r\nMy colleague and I serve about 143 students with a very wide range of communication needs. With a new group of student walking in our door every 15 minutes (each with 2-3 individualized goals), having high-quality, ready-to-use materials is an absolute must. \r\n\r\nWith your donations we purchased a play kitchen, pretend food, a race car track, farm animals with a barn, many books, and other high-quality toys. I love designing activities that feel like play while \"secretly\" helping students practice vocabulary, sentence structure, articulation, and social skills. As you can imagine, these resources make my job way more fun and my students a lot happier AND more successful. \r\n\r\nDuring my first year I spent unholy amount of time on Canva (I still love it) re-creating resources that many SLPs before me have already made. Because of this, a big chunk of your donations went toward purchasing Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) resources. TPT gives us instant access to specialized materials, worksheets, and visuals for even the most specific goals. Now I can print an entire year's worth of homework packets for all of my students in less than 10 minutes instead of scraping the mediocre \"free\" downloads to make something work. We also got a huge supply of laminating sheets and organizational tools so we can prep and reuse all the visuals we use every single day. Thank you!!!!\r\n\r\nMy favorite purchase was the GAME-CHANGING Bjorem sound cue cards (peep the cute \"S snake\" and \"K cough sound\" cards I use literally every day!). Ask any speech therapist, these expensive decks of visuals are life changing but an investment. My kids have made so much more progress this year and I'm convinced it's because we now have access to Bjorem cards thanks to you! \r\n\r\nIn the photos, you'll see just a tiny bit of the difference you made: students playing and building language, practicing new sounds in natural ways, and using communication tools functionally. From our little preschoolers learning to combine 2 word sentences to older students perfecting their \"R\" sound, every single kid we serve has benefited from your kindness.
