Making these fun characters gives kindergarteners a chance to be creative, use their imagination, and be a little silly! It also provides a link between our elementary's youngest and oldest students. \r\nSixth graders use the kindergartener's creations to expand their own creativity by also constructing a story about the kindergartener meeting their monster. Everyone takes this project very seriously! Each student involved has their own sense of importance and know that they have someone on the other side of the project waiting in anticipation. \r\nWhen felt monsters are delivered I hear the same thing from all of the kindergarten teachers, \"You could've heard a pin drop as I read the stories and presented the monsters.\" What a great way to build community and show love!","fullyFundedDate":1781818224104,"projectUrl":"project/felt-monsters/10208194/","projectTitle":"Felt Monsters","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Engleman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10319554"},{"teacherId":10030658,"projectId":9936266,"letterContent":"I am writing to sincerely thank you for providing deodorants, toothpaste, and toothbrushes to our 6th grade students and to share the positive impact these hygiene products have had on them.\r\nThe donations have made a meaningful difference in our classroom and school community. For many of our students, access to personal hygiene products is not always guaranteed. Having their own deodorant, toothpaste, and toothbrush has helped them feel more confident and comfortable throughout the school day. We have noticed an increase in students taking pride in their personal care and demonstrating greater self-confidence when interacting with peers.\r\nBeyond the physical benefits, these items have also supported important conversations about healthy habits and self-care. Students have become more aware of the importance of daily hygiene routines and how they contribute to overall health and well-being. Providing these essentials has reinforced lessons about responsibility and personal growth.\r\nMost importantly, your generosity has shown our students that their community cares about them. That message alone has had a powerful and lasting effect.\r\nThank you again for your support and commitment to our students' well-being.
