As you know, your donation went towards a \"classroom collaboration rug\". This rug was placed in my classroom during the first week of school. The difference it has made in my classroom has been amazing to witness. We use this rug for morning meeting, group work, math minute, read alouds, and during other activities in which it is better for us to not have a desk in the way. Not only has it provided a place for us to collaborate more closely, but it also helps to give my students more movement and diversity in their day. \r\n Our class family has grown closer as we have used movement, clipboards, and groupwork to further our learning. I am a firm believer that students shouldn't be in a chair all day long, but have differentiated seating and places throughout the classroom to learn. Your donation made this possible for all of my third graders, and I and my students are forever grateful for your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1751733603285,"projectUrl":"project/mrs-gillies-classroom-collaboration-rug/9440358/","projectTitle":"Mrs. Gillies Classroom Collaboration Rug","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gillies","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10067610_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1751316752375","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10067610"},{"teacherId":9990816,"projectId":9230039,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support in bringing new books into our classroom! My students love having their own book to hold, mark, and follow along in—it makes them feel like real readers and part of something special. To make the experience even sweeter, every day we read the story together, I'll be giving them a little chocolate kiss. At the end of the unit, we'll celebrate with a full \"Chocolate Day\" to tie everything together.\r\n\r\nYour donation doesn't just provide books—it creates memories, sparks curiosity, and gives my students the chance to fall in love with reading. These novels will stay in our classroom library long after our unit ends, so generations of students will continue to benefit from your kindness.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in my students and supporting our classroom. They asked questions about how it worked and jumped right in.\r\n\r\nNow it is part of our daily routine. Students turn in their assignments through the mail slots and it has made grading a whole lot easier. I am no longer chasing down papers with no names, and if something is missing, they know where to look first.\r\n\r\nIn just a short time it has noticeably increased student responsibility. They know their work is their job to turn in, and they are taking that seriously. The best part is what ends up in my own mailbox. I get shout out notes where kids recognize their classmates for making good choices, and that has been a great surprise.\r\n\r\nThank you for supporting this project. Many of the titles are already being utilized in individual and group counseling sessions, offering insight, guidance, and encouragement to those who need it most. With the ability to access such a variety of perspectives, our students are better equipped to build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and foster positive mental health.\r\nYour kindness has enhanced the resources available to our students and created a space where they can feel supported, understood, and empowered.
