When the hammock chair, balance board, stretch band, and hand massager arrived, my students were immediately intrigued. Their excitement was so genuine and they have continued to enjoy the relaxation and regulation these items have provided.\r\n\r\nThese small moments of regulation are making a big difference in how my students participate and stay engaged. I have also added a couple of these to a sensory story activity where the students will experience sensory tools throughout the telling. \r\n\r\nOver the next few weeks, we'll continue using these sensory tools to support regulation during our academic centers and independent work times. Your generosity has made our classroom calmer, more focused, and more accessible for every student. Every time we bring out the latest issue, excitement fills the room. Students eagerly flip through the pages, curious about what new stories and articles are in the magazine. Students love the engaging stories/articles, as well as the vibrant pictures and visuals. Each issue has a variety of genres and topics, which engages all students. As a result, my classroom has become a place where students are not just reading because they have to, but because they want to. Which is my ultimate goal, to build a love of reading. \r\n\r\nBeyond building excitement and a love for reading, students are becoming more confident in both their reading and writing. The built-in comprehension activities are helping them strengthen their understanding of texts, improve their test readiness, and express themselves more clearly in writing. Additionally, Storyworks connects reading to subjects like social studies and science, which is awesome! This allows students to deepen their learning and helps them make meaningful connections between what they read and the world around them.","fullyFundedDate":1755738482915,"projectUrl":"project/for-the-love-of-reading/9569753/","projectTitle":"For the Love of Reading!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hilton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7460566_orig.jpg?crop=771,771,x1132,y248&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1597894513714","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7460566"},{"teacherId":8279330,"projectId":8389850,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donations, introducing color charts, pictures, and vocabulary lists has transformed our classroom into a more engaging and accessible learning environment.
