The new flexible seating options have given students the comfort and confidence to engage more fully in our daily routines.\r\n\r\nWe've integrated the floor chairs into several areas of our classroom, including our reading corner, small group workstations, and morning meeting area. These chairs provide the support some students need to participate in activities that were previously difficult for them.\r\n\r\nOne moment that truly stood out was during our morning meeting. A student who typically remained seated at her desk due to mobility issues chose to use one of the new floor chairs and came down to join us on the rug for the very first time. It was a small moment with a big impact, she was able to be part of the circle, contribute to our discussion, and feel included in a way she hadn't before. Seeing her smile and connect with her peers was incredibly moving.\r\n\r\nYour support has done so much more than provide seating it has helped build community, inclusion, and confidence. Your proprioceptive system helps you detect movement, action, and location in space without thinking about it. Many people needs extra input the satisfy their proprioceptive needs. The spinning chairs that you helped pay for satisfy that need in a profound way. Kids are able to remain in the learning spaces for longer periods of time, helping them access their education. Your generous contributions have made a world of difference for our students, and I wanted to share with you just how impactful this project has been.\r\n\r\nFirst and foremost, these new texts have introduced our students to a wide range of genres, themes, and writing styles that are sparking curiosity and engagement. Many of these books encourage critical thinking, empathy, and creativity. Students are learning to analyze story structure, explore character development, and understand different perspectives. The variety of books you helped provide has allowed us to introduce new vocabulary and concepts, making reading both an enjoyable and educational experience.\r\n\r\nWe have seen particular students who have truly blossomed thanks to these books. One student, who once struggled to engage with reading, has recently found a passion for graphic novels. With the new titles, he's not only finishing books but also sharing them with his classmates, proudly discussing the artwork and plotlines. It's amazing to see how these books have helped build confidence in readers who may have otherwise felt disconnected from traditional texts.\r\n\r\nYour donation has given our students the chance to explore new worlds through literature and develop lifelong reading habits. It has also created a space for them to build skills that will serve them both in and outside of the classroom.
