My students were thrilled to have the new table and chairs. For many of them it was the excitement of getting new furniture and the chairs they can move around in. The ability to work with the students in a small group environment has enhanced their way of learning. The children love when it is their time to go to small group table time. \r\n\r\nThe excitement in their faces as they rush over to the table and chairs is amazing. They can work in a small group, close to the teacher, without the distraction of other students. When working in small groups, they are able to work on their level. This center has given my students a desire to learn more.\r\n\r\nThis center has been especially helpful to my ESL students. Many of my students come from bilingual homes or homes that do not speak English. The opportunity to work in a small group setting, helps with their English skills. They love sitting in their center and working together or listening to a story while looking at the accompanying book. It gives them a chance to imagine being in the story or relating to the story on a personal level.\r\n\r\nThis center will help nurture my students love of learning.
