Your generosity has made a lasting difference in our classroom, and we are so grateful for your kindness.\r\n\r\nThese new books have already transformed reading time for our students. They are helping us build important literacy skills such as comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and making connections to texts. Students are learning how to ask questions while they read, identify the main idea, describe characters, and use evidence from the story to support their thinking. Having engaging and high-interest books allows students to practice these skills with excitement and confidence.\r\n\r\nOne of the most meaningful parts of this project is that many of the books feature characters, families, and experiences that our students can identify with. It is powerful for children to see themselves represented in stories and to know that their voices, cultures, and experiences matter. These books have helped students feel seen, valued, and excited to read.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is an active and joyful experience. You can see students reading independently, partnering with classmates to discuss stories, and gathering in small groups to dive deeper into texts. Our students love choosing books that match their interests and reading levels, which helps them grow as readers while building a love for books.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who were once hesitant readers are especially enjoying the new library. They are excited to browse the shelves, discover new topics, and share recommendations with their classmates. Some students rush in each morning asking if they can start reading right away. Watching their confidence grow and seeing them genuinely excited about books has been one of the greatest gifts.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our students now have access to fresh, engaging stories that inspire learning every day. Thank you for believing in our students and investing in their future.","fullyFundedDate":1775589649352,"projectUrl":"project/wishing-for-new-books/10159312/","projectTitle":"Wishing for New Books!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Koscher","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3013399_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1720632210366","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-koscher"},{"teacherId":3013399,"projectId":9504821,"letterContent":"I want to express our deepest gratitude for your generous donation of books, school supplies, and snacks.
