What we didn't realize at the time was just how powerful this activity would become. Many of them said that scrapbooking made them want to earn more badges. As they discussed what they wanted to learn about next, they realized that one idea stood out - building a garden for our elementary school. They recognized that it would not only be a fun and meaningful project for them, but would also be a learning tool for the whole school, especially during their Life Science units. They started researching and discovered how good gardens are for the environment, for stress relief, and encouraging positive emotions.
