When we started rehearsals, staff members and I led vocal and body warm-ups, and decided costume and set design ideas for the show. Now, the students lead warm-ups and are consistently sharing their ideas about the set and costumes--sometimes even when we haven't asked. Their enthusiasm demonstrates their investment in the show which is being made possible because of your contributions. \r\n\r\nFrom snacks to costumes, your generosity has created the structure within which we work. Every rehearsal students have snacks; we plotted the light design and will be able to use it with the LED lights; last week students tried on their costume pieces and performed one of the largest ensemble numbers in them. Your support, however, extends beyond Drama Club. The stage boxes that students are standing on in the photo, have become a staple for students in Theater Class to create various sets--trains, podiums, beds, desks, and more. \r\n\r\nYour investment grows and sustains arts programming at M.S. 337. Thank you, immensely for believing in arts education and ensuring our students have the resources they need to participate in it.","fullyFundedDate":1737143374154,"projectUrl":"project/a-whole-new-world-act-sing-design-lig/8953805/","projectTitle":"A Whole New World: Act, Sing, Design Lights and Sets","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ballou","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9842725"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_18813","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":376,"numTeachers":36,"percentFrplEligible":90,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":13,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":78,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"10.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":60.4,"schoolId":18813,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about School for Inquiry Social Justice on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"School for Inquiry Social Justice","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/the-school-for-inquiry-and-social-justice/18813"}
