The books are being incorporated into our daily reading time, independent reading, and small-group activities. The snacks are especially helpful for students who may need a little extra energy throughout the school day. Having snacks available helps our students stay focused, comfortable, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new books, they were excited to look through the different stories and choose books that interested them. They loved having new choices for reading and were eager to share the books with their classmates. The snacks were also a big hit! Students were grateful to have a quick snack available when they were hungry, and it was wonderful to see how something so simple could help them feel cared for and ready to participate in class.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue using the books during our reading lessons and give students plenty of opportunities to read independently and with their classmates. We will also continue keeping snacks available when students need them during the school day. We hope to use the books to encourage a love of reading while helping students build their vocabulary, comprehension, and confidence.\r\n\r\nThank you so much to our donors for supporting our classroom! The hands-on play has provided enrichment, authentic learning, and a joy for our students. At least that is what they say. They are able to start working on their projects much faster than when they were having to use scissors to cut the cardboard. Which isn't always an easy task and their hands really start to hurt. (mine too) \r\nWith your donation, which allowed us to get the saw, my students are so eager to get to work on their designs. They follow the engineer process by first coming up with an idea , then making a blueprint, getting their material list together and finally getting to build their design. So this resource has actually made it where we are getting our projects done in a much more timely fashion.\r\nThank you for your donation and believing in our class.
