These hands-on materials help students practice counting, number recognition, addition, subtraction, and understanding numbers in different ways. Working in small groups allows me to provide extra support based on each student's needs while giving students opportunities to learn from one another. It is exciting to see students use the manipulatives to solve problems, share their thinking, and build confidence in their math abilities.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, they were excited and eager to explore! They enjoyed touching, moving, and using the manipulatives to help solve math problems. Opening the boxes was the most exciting part. The materials made learning more interactive and helped students stay engaged during their small-group lessons. It was wonderful to see their curiosity and excitement as they discovered new ways to practice their math skills.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue using these resources in small groups to strengthen foundational math skills and help students become more confident, independent learners. Students will practice counting, making groups, representing numbers, and solving addition and subtraction problems using hands-on activities. When I first put out some of the items on the table for free exploration, their eyes grew wide with excitement and they all let out squeals of delight.\r\nAll the students love the Mystery Box, wondering what item they will reach in and grab. They enjoy finding the initial letter on the map. The magnetic mazes are played with on a daily basis. The Ice Cream Cone Stacker is another favorite during math centers. They love making numbers and sight words with the Wikki Sticks. They tell me it's more fun than writing. \r\nThe moment that made the biggest impression with me is when I was working with the students with the 10 Frame paddles. They were having so much fun creating teen numbers and showing addition. They didn't want to stop working, not even when I told them it was recess time.\r\nNone of this would have been possible without your support and generosity.
