On behalf of our school, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of breathing balls and fidget tools. These resources have made a significant impact on our students and teachers alike.\r\n\r\nThe breathing balls have become particularly popular among our teachers, which has encouraged students to feel comfortable using them in the classroom. As a support teacher for special needs students, I have the opportunity to observe their use in various classrooms throughout the day. Students often use the breathing balls during conversations with teachers at their desks, especially when discussing low grades or misunderstandings. This practice has proven to be an effective way to reduce anxiety, allowing for more productive and less stressful interactions.\r\n\r\nThe fidget tools have also been widely embraced. In three particular courses, where students experience idle time and their minds tend to wander, these tools have been instrumental in helping them concentrate and refocus. This idle time often leads to heightened anxiety as students process the stressors of their day, and the fidget tools offer a constructive outlet for their nervous energy.\r\n\r\nYour donation has not only provided immediate benefits but has also inspired us to continue promoting the use of these tools across our campus. We believe that making this a widespread practice will further support our students' well-being and academic success.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your generosity and support. We are deeply grateful for your contribution and look forward to continuing to encourage the use of these valuable tools.","fullyFundedDate":1739372628001,"projectUrl":"project/fidget-tools-to-reduce-anxiety-in-teens/8946508/","projectTitle":"Fidget Tools to Reduce Anxiety in Teens.","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Pedraza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9624505_orig.jpg?crop=550,550,x166,y48&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1731678841232","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9624505"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_98005","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1644,"numTeachers":73,"percentFrplEligible":55,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":8,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":85,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"22.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":61.3,"schoolId":98005,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Terra Environ Research Institute on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Terra Environ Research Institute","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/miami-dade-county-public-schools/terra-enviroment-research-inst/98005"}
