The LCD writing tablets and mini whiteboards allow students to practice letter formation, spelling, sight words, and solving math problems without the pressure of using paper. The magnetic sentence strips are also helping students build complete sentences and organize their ideas. One of my favorite moments is seeing a student who is usually hesitant to write become excited to erase and try again.\r\n\r\nMy students were excited and curious when they first saw the materials. The colorful writing tablets, whiteboards, and magnetic pieces made the learning activities feel more like hands-on activities than traditional schoolwork. Some students immediately wanted to start writing and drawing, while others enjoyed choosing and arranging the magnetic sentence strips. The stress cubes have also provided a simple sensory tool for students who need a short movement or calming break before returning to learning.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue using these materials to strengthen students' independence and confidence while working toward their individual IEP goals. In reading, students will practice connecting letters and sounds and reading CVC and other one-syllable words. In writing, they will build simple sentences using the magnetic strips and then write their own sentences on the whiteboards. In math, students will use the boards to practice solving addition and subtraction problems and explaining how they found their answers. I hope these hands-on tools will help my students see that learning can be both successful and enjoyable.","fullyFundedDate":1787196494149,"projectUrl":"project/magnetic-minds-engaged-learners/10395104/","projectTitle":"Magnetic Minds, Engaged Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Xiao","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9828468_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1784729665984","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9828468"},{"teacherId":8800137,"projectId":10283261,"letterContent":"Your generosity changes lives, thank you for being our hero Today your small Act is a big impact thank you for your support. Your kindness has made an incredible difference in our classroom, and we are truly grateful.\r\n\r\nAs a first-grade teacher in a Title I school, I strive to create a welcoming environment where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn. Our new classroom rug has quickly become the heart of our classroom. It is where we gather each day for read-alouds, phonics lessons, math discussions, morning meetings, and collaborative learning activities. Having a designated learning space helps my students stay engaged, focused, and connected as we learn together.\r\n\r\nThe rug has also given my students a clean, comfortable place to sit, learn, and build a sense of community. It has encouraged active participation, meaningful conversations, and a greater sense of belonging for every child.\r\n\r\nYour generosity extends far beyond providing a classroom item—it has created opportunities for learning, strengthened our classroom community, and given my students a space where they can grow with confidence each day. Knowing that people care enough to invest in their education reminds them that they are valued and supported.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and helping make our classroom a place where learning can flourish.
