They make sure to complete their assignments and clean up their work areas. \r\n I am overjoyed to have my students walk into the classroom and help themselves to a snack without having to ask. All of my students were wide-eyed when they saw the pantry stocked with snacks! They come to class knowing that if they missed breakfast or lunch, or if they are hungry any time of the day, there is something for them to eat. \r\n The next focus for the project is to keep it going throughout the school year. While it is absolutely incredible to have this project funded, I must work to keep the pantry stocked year-round. My student count this year is over 160 students throughout the school day. I have already begun a second Donors Choose project for another round of snacks to stock the pantry.\r\n Ultimately, I would like this pantry project to trickle into the classrooms of all the teachers at our high school. I have begun a small movement sharing how to start a Donors Choose project.
