We started the year with desks, laptops (which they do not use) and a subscription to an online program....we are now a fully functional, sensory based, reading room!\r\n\r\nDue to your generosity, we were able to fund sensory items and a wide assortment of reading based materials. Because our students are functioning significantly below grade level (they all have severe disabilities), we had to be creative with what we ordered.\r\n\r\nThe students now love coming into the room - it is bright, it is welcoming, and it is full of things they love to do, and need to do. They can read, and then have a sensory break.
