One memorable moment was watching each child carefully decorate their flower pots with their favorite colors and patterns, proudly adding their names and special messages. The classroom was filled with joy, laughter, and lots of love as the children created gifts that truly came from the heart.\r\n\r\nThanks to your kindness, our students were able to explore their creativity while learning about kindness, gratitude, and self-expression. We've been able to incorporate more real-life experiences into our learning, like food-themed lessons where students can safely observe how ingredients change with heat or cold. One of our favorite projects was learning about different fruits. We made a fruit salad and were able to store items in our refrigerator.\r\n\r\nWhen the refrigerator and microwave were first installed, my students were thrilled. Their excitement turned into curiosity and questions, which led to spontaneous conversations about how food is stored, why it needs to be heated, and even where food comes from. These tools have helped deepen our discussions and bring our units on food, nutrition, and healthy habits to life in a hands-on way.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we plan to use these appliances for more cooking and science-based activities, like making frozen fruit smoothies or learning about solids and liquids by melting chocolate. We have filled the cabinet with the ice packs, pre wrap and athletic tape received through this project! \r\n\r\nThe students and athletes have used these items and were excited when they knew they now had access to the materials needed to wrap and injured ankle, wrist or finger and ice packs to help keep the swelling down. Before they would have to track down the nurse or a coach to get them an ice pack or first aid items. \r\n\r\nWe hope to continue to have these materials throughout the upcoming school year to keep everyone put together and keep them well. The collage frames have been a hit because they let the kids create colorful, textured images by combining wiggly eyes, peel-and-stick flexible shapes, and floral rhinestones. They were inspired to create scenes with distinctive characters and use the people-shaped templates to tell stories through art. Through this project, they were able to integrate art and storytelling while honing their fine motor abilities and expressing their creativity.\r\nThere was a lot of enthusiasm in the classroom when the materials came. Eager to put the materials to work, they began generating ideas right away. Their excitement was contagious, and the resources stimulated creative and cooperative work. In the future, we intend to work on a project that emphasizes family and community. Our art classes have been completely changed by these resources, and I'm excited to see what our classroom will produce next!
