When it comes to play materials, children don't mind getting messy or wet. Water play is both enjoyable, educational and perfect for hot days that call for a cooling off when outside. Indoor water play can go all year long, and like outdoor play, helps children develop hand-eye coordination as well as math and science concepts. The use of Water play is a developmental strategy that addresses the sensory and tactile learners, as well as socialization skills in the water center. Water tables are a great way for children to compromise and work together. My students are at low developmental stages and this table will enable my students to utilize water play inside and outside.
