Items like mixing bowls, measuring cups and spoons, oven mitts, parchment paper, bamboo toothpicks, plastic forks, Scrub Daddy sponges, and brown paper bags may seem simple, but in our classroom, they are essential tools for learning.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, my students can practice measuring ingredients, following recipes, working safely in a kitchen, cleaning and caring for their workspaces, collaborating with a team, and even packaging up their creations to take home.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, our cooking labs are some of the most anticipated days of the year. They are learning practical skills they can use for the rest of their lives while building confidence, independence, responsibility, and teamwork along the way.
