We sit there for story time, when we watch a video, or when we do partner work. They love working on it because it is so pretty and they get a break from their desks. Once they arrived to our classroom it was like we were having a party. For example, we have recently been learning about Ancient Greece, and they were asked to choose whether they would've liked to live in Athens or Sparta. They explained why and drew a picture of what they would be doing there. We proudly post them around the room to keep them motivated. We place these crayons in the pencil boxes that were donated. \r\nI had told them about the supplies before we received them so they were waiting for them. Once they arrived to our classroom it was like we were having a party. They were so excited and happy to have them! My students sat at tables for collaborative group work, and the seat sacks helped keep them very organized. Their journals, folders, and personal items were in a safe place where they could bring out what they needed in under a minute. This cuts down on lost time during transitions.\r\n\r\nEach year, the students were able to use them.
