Having a diverse, modern, and engaging selection of books is critical for keeping them inspired and interested in reading. Before your donation, our bookshelf was only half full, and it was challenging to find titles that matched every student's unique interest and reading levels. The students were so excited as I unpacked the delivery boxes and loved helping me add the books to our book shelf. In fact, the Nathan Hale books were barely on the shelf for an hour before several students had checked many of them out!\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your kindness and for directly impacting the education and imagination of our 5th graders. The kids absolutely loved becoming gardeners! They got their hands dirty, cared daily for their plants and learned the scientific terms and the process certain plants go through. The learned what a plant needs to survive. They also learned about how nature interacts with plants (bees, etc.) Parents shared that kids talked about their garden quite a bit at home. A number of families will be starting their own gardens at home now as well.
