Your generosity truly made a difference in the daily learning experiences of our class, and we are incredibly grateful for your kindness and encouragement. Because of your contribution, we were able to participate in so many engaging, hands-on projects that brought our lessons to life and made learning exciting for every student in the room.\r\n\r\nYour donation allowed my seven and eight year olds to explore concepts in ways that went far beyond textbooks and worksheets. Instead of simply reading about ideas, students were able to actively experience them through creative projects, collaborative activities, and interactive lessons. These opportunities helped strengthen their understanding of important reading and math skills while also building confidence, curiosity, and teamwork. It was amazing to watch students become so enthusiastic about learning as they connected classroom lessons to real-world experiences.\r\n\r\nIn reading, students participated in projects that encouraged imagination, creativity, and critical thinking. They worked together to respond to stories, create visual representations of characters and settings, and dive deeper into comprehension activities that made literature feel meaningful and exciting. Many students who were once hesitant readers became eager to participate because the projects made learning feel fun and accessible. Watching their excitement grow each day was such a rewarding experience.\r\n\r\nIn math, your support helped us create activities that allowed students to use hands-on materials to solve problems, practice new strategies, and think critically. Students explored concepts through games, building activities, and group challenges that kept them actively engaged in the learning process. These experiences helped make difficult concepts easier to understand while also encouraging collaboration and perseverance. The joy and pride students felt when they successfully solved problems together was truly special to witness.\r\n\r\nOne of the highlights of our year was being able to take learning outside the classroom through science experiments and outdoor exploration. Students were thrilled to investigate, observe, and experiment in ways that sparked curiosity and wonder. Whether we were testing scientific ideas, exploring nature, or making connections between science and everyday life, the students were fully engaged and excited to learn. These experiences helped deepen their understanding while creating unforgettable moments of discovery and joy.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your generosity helped create meaningful memories that our students will carry with them for years to come. The excitement, laughter, teamwork, and sense of accomplishment that filled our classroom were made possible because of your support. You helped create an environment where students felt inspired, valued, and eager to learn each day.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in our students and investing in their education. Your kindness and support have had a lasting impact on our classroom community, and we are deeply appreciative of everything you made possible.","fullyFundedDate":1771703681549,"projectUrl":"project/learning-is-exciting/10107076/","projectTitle":"Learning Is Exciting!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sisler","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7938817"},{"teacherId":1977599,"projectId":10081980,"letterContent":"My students love having class parties. The no-spill paint cups and watercolor supplies made it possible for all students to safely participate in painting, and many were able to stay engaged for longer periods of time than usual. One student who often avoids tabletop tasks independently completed multiple steps of a craft activity, showing increased confidence and willingness to try.\r\n\r\nWe have been using these materials daily during both ELA and math centers to support fine motor skills, following directions, and communication. Students are using glue, craft sticks, and paper to complete structured activities that connect to their learning goals, such as matching, sequencing, and early writing tasks. The classroom organizer has also made a big difference, allowing students to access materials more independently and helping maintain a consistent routine. The calming diffuser has supported a more regulated classroom environment, especially during transitions and work times.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue to incorporate these materials into structured, hands-on lessons that support both academic and social-emotional development. They especially loved the invisible ink pens and were amazed when their secret messages appeared under the light. The stickers and fidget toys also helped create a positive classroom environment by celebrating students' efforts and encouraging engagement during activities.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we will continue using these materials during our center rotations and seasonal projects. Students will be working on collaborative activities that strengthen problem-solving, creativity, and communication skills. Stories like Kindness is My Superpower, I Am Love, I Am Courage, and Punk the Skunk Learns to Say Sorry help students learn how to recognize feelings, show empathy, practice gratitude, and take responsibility for their actions. Books such as I Forgive Alex and Taylor the Thankful Turkey also give us opportunities to talk about forgiveness, kindness, and what it means to be thankful. While we read, students practice key literacy skills such as listening for important details, making connections to their own lives, discussing characters' choices, and learning new vocabulary.\r\n\r\nReading time in our classroom is very interactive. We often read stories together as a group, pause to ask questions, and talk about how the characters feel or solve problems. Students share their ideas with partners and sometimes draw or write about what they learned from the story. The magnetic picture frames are also used to display student responses or pictures connected to our reading themes, helping students feel proud of their thinking and contributions.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have been especially excited about these books because they relate closely to situations they experience with friends at school. They enjoy talking about ways to be kind, how to apologize, and how to show gratitude to others. Many students love the colorful illustrations and frequently ask to reread their favorite stories during independent reading time. These books have helped create meaningful conversations and have supported both literacy development and positive classroom relationships.","fullyFundedDate":1764696711738,"projectUrl":"project/courage-gratitude-forgiveness-compa/9918166/","projectTitle":"Courage, Gratitude, Forgiveness, & Compassion","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Darcie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8561625_orig.jpg?crop=1138,1138,x15,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1659826580271","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/missdarcie"},{"teacherId":2474713,"projectId":9781383,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for getting the art supplies and the conservation books for my students in class and in the environmental club. \r\nOur students have been utilizing all the supplies to learn how to live a balanced life with the environment. During our Project-Based Learning unit on Greek mythology, students researched a mythological figure of their choice, analyzed important traits and themes, and wrote an informative piece to teach others about their character.\r\n\r\nThe art materials allowed students to extend their learning beyond paper and pencil. Each student designed and painted a canvas that visually represented their chosen Greek figure and key elements of the myth. One unforgettable moment was watching students carefully sketch their ideas before painting, discussing symbolism with peers, and revising both their artwork and writing to make sure it accurately reflected their research. They were thinking deeply and creating with purpose.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement was immediate. There were gasps, huge smiles, and so many questions. Several students shared that they had never painted on a real canvas before. They handled the supplies with pride and responsibility, knowing these materials were provided because someone believed in them.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue applying these skills in our upcoming writing unit, where they will once again move through the full writing process — planning, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing. We will also continue integrating art as a way to deepen comprehension and strengthen critical thinking across subjects.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, my students are not just learning — they are creating, presenting, and growing in confidence every single day.
