The headphones have allowed them to watch tutorials, troubleshoot issues, and listen to step-by-step instructions without distracting others. It's given students the confidence to learn at their own pace, and for some, that has made all the difference.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting aspects for students has been the ability to save and return to their projects using the flash drives and MicroSD cards. Each student now has their own file space, so they aren't losing progress or having to share devices awkwardly. For our robotics teams especially, the SD cards have been critical. They can store robot code and update their bots in real time, which helps them iterate faster and compete with more confidence. The use of the items haven't been limited to those who take my course. Students from around the school feel have learned that we have materials and easily come to check out items for their classes. They ask to use the 3D Printer and headphones to actively participate in class.\r\n\r\nThere's one student in particular, an 8th grader who's always been interested in tech but hesitant to ask for help, who's truly come alive since we set up this system. With his own access to headphones and SD cards, he comes in whenever he has free time to build a robot. He has built his level of knowledge to the point that he's helping younger students and designed his science fair project around engineering.\r\n\r\nYour support provided more than supplies. You gave my students the tools to focus, to create, and to feel ownership over their learning. Thank you for helping us build not just robots, but real confidence and opportunity.","fullyFundedDate":1750871421306,"projectUrl":"project/using-headphones-to-build-robots-yes-r/9431363/","projectTitle":"Using Headphones to build Robots (Yes, Really!)","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cuffy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9805309"},{"teacherId":9172558,"projectId":8498404,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to support my students. The students that have utilized the products are extremely appreciative. It has allowed students to have more confidence and not rely on wearing hats and hoodies. Providing the products to students has also strengthened the teacher/student connection. Students will do their hair and talk to me about self-esteem and other personal issues they may have.
