The winter coats you helped provide made a meaningful impact on our school day and on the lives of our students.\r\n\r\nEach morning, we saw students arrive warmer, more comfortable, and ready to start their day. One moment that truly stood out was when we distributed the coats. As students tried them on, there were huge smiles, excited chatter, and a visible sense of relief. For some, it was the first time they had a brand-new coat of their own. Instead of rushing inside to escape the cold, many were eager to show their friends and teachers, proud of what they were wearing.\r\n\r\nThese coats were used every single day—at the bus stop, during recess, and as students headed home in the afternoon. Recess, in particular, was transformed. Students spent more time outside, stayed active, and engaged with their peers without being limited by the cold weather. That increased comfort often carried back into the classroom, where we noticed improved focus and a more positive, productive learning environment.\r\n\r\nAs the winter season came to a close, it was clear that this simple but powerful resource had supported our students in more ways than we could have imagined. Whether it was participating in outdoor activities, enjoying time with friends, or simply arriving at school ready to learn, your support helped remove barriers that might otherwise have stood in their way.\r\n\r\nYou gave our students more than just coats—you gave them confidence, comfort, and the ability to fully participate in their school experience. Thank you for taking a peek into our classroom and for making such a lasting impact on our students' lives.","fullyFundedDate":1772080701118,"projectUrl":"project/winter-coats-for-children-in-need/10051772/","projectTitle":"Winter Coats for Children in Need","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Barrett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/bbarrett"},{"teacherId":237897,"projectId":9870991,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our baseball and softball programs are eagerly preparing to use the new Husky outdoor storage containers once they are installed. While winter weather has delayed placement at the fields, our teams and coaches are already organizing equipment and planning how these containers will streamline daily practices and game-day routines. Having a secure, dedicated space on-site will eliminate the need to transport gear back and forth and will help us better protect and manage our equipment throughout the season.\r\n\r\nWhen we shared the news of this project with our student-athletes, their excitement was immediate. They were grateful to know that their programs are supported in such a meaningful way and are looking forward to having a space they can take pride in. Many students have already talked about how much easier practices will be and how having organized, accessible equipment will help them stay focused and prepared.\r\n\r\nAs we look ahead, the installation of these containers will allow us to maximize practice time and expand skill development opportunities. Coaches are planning more efficient drills, station work, and team-focused activities that depend on quick and reliable access to equipment. Because of your generosity, our students will soon benefit from a more organized, professional environment that supports their growth, teamwork, and overall experience in our programs.","fullyFundedDate":1767148481337,"projectUrl":"project/outside-secure-storage-needed/9870991/","projectTitle":"Outside Secure Storage Needed","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Barrett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/bbarrett"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_91092","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":450,"numTeachers":32,"percentFrplEligible":74,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":92,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":1,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"14.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":30.6,"schoolId":91092,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Valley Grove Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Valley Grove Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/pennsylvania/valley-grove-school-district/sugar-creek-intermediate-school/91092"}
