Each text is helping us build essential reading skills—everything from identifying the main idea and supporting details, to understanding characters' motivations, exploring themes, and strengthening vocabulary through context clues. These books also allow students to practice fluency, make predictions, and talk about their thinking in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading is active, joyful, and collaborative. Students read independently, with partners, and in small groups. They use sticky notes to track their thoughts, ask questions during reading discussions, and share their ideas with confidence. Because we now have a wider variety of texts, students are choosing books that truly interest them—stories, informational texts, and multicultural titles that help them see themselves and the world more clearly.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who once struggled to stay engaged during reading time are now eagerly reaching for books that match their interests. One student who rarely participated in discussions now raises her hand to share connections she discovers. Another student who was hesitant to read independently has found a series he loves and proudly tells classmates about the chapters he finished. These moments are happening every day, and they're a direct result of your support.\r\n\r\nYour donation didn't just provide books—it created excitement, confidence, and a stronger community of readers in our classroom.
