Because of your support, my students have additional ways to regulate their bodies and their emotions which helps them to be ready to learn. \r\n\r\n\r\nSpecifically, these supplies are being used for: \r\n\r\n\r\nSensory times: Two times per day we have a built in sensory time for 20 min. Once upon arrival to school and a second time midway through the day. We use this time proactively to help the students regulate before we do seat or group work. These items: Liquid floor tiles, Engineer a Coaster, Sensory Sand Kit, Magnetic Blocks, and Number Sensory Trays are used and loved by the students during this time.\r\n\r\n\r\nGroup Times: We meet at groups for a circle time in the morning and also for a group literacy time in the afternoon. During these times it can be difficult for students to stay seated for the activity. We use the Wiggle seat, Fidget Spinners, and Chair bands to help students to stay seated and focus on the lesson. \r\n\r\n\r\nCalm Corner: The Reversible sequin wall is used in our calm corner. This area is available to all students if they need to regulate their bodies and emotions. This wall is such a great tool for them to use. They love feeling the sequins and changing the direction of them as they are calming down. \r\n\r\n\r\nThese items have significantly boosted our students' regulation and allowed them to increase their learning. It is because of supporters like you that our classroom can have the tools needed to support all learners and meet them at their level. \r\n\r\n\r\nThank you again for your incredible kindness and for investing in the future of our students.","fullyFundedDate":1764796035630,"projectUrl":"project/calm-breath-countready-to-learn/9625965/","projectTitle":"Calm, Breath, Count...Ready to Learn!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Karen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1428058_orig.png?crop=154,154,x0,y9&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756346243259","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-karenhoffman"},{"teacherId":8193578,"projectId":9712595,"letterContent":"Thank you for donating the Chomp Saw to my classroom. The students use this wall to admire their art work, or for other educational purposes. We are also excited for the penguin balancing manipulative to arrive. Sensory bins are an amazing way for students to learn through a tactile approach. They can also provide a very self soothing effect on students. When they are able to explore their topic of theme of interest while being able to do so based on their own time and ability students become more curious. This provides a great Segway into language promotions. Students eventually want to share what they are exploring or get so excited after using a bin that they are eager to learn more. I was excited I had many of the bins and even ordered a few more. I chose theme colored labels with pictures so they students can familiarize themselves with print when requesting the sensory bin they would like to explore. These materials, while expense for one person are so beneficial and used daily in my classroom. I could not have done this without the help of everyone.
