Sensory bins are an amazing way for students to learn through a tactile approach. They can also provide a very self soothing effect on students. When they are able to explore their topic of theme of interest while being able to do so based on their own time and ability students become more curious. This provides a great Segway into language promotions. Students eventually want to share what they are exploring or get so excited after using a bin that they are eager to learn more. I was excited I had many of the bins and even ordered a few more. I chose theme colored labels with pictures so they students can familiarize themselves with print when requesting the sensory bin they would like to explore. These materials, while expense for one person are so beneficial and used daily in my classroom. I could not have done this without the help of everyone. The students have loved this Pretend Dress Up Station and want to play with it every day. The students love looking in the mirror as they try on the new outfits. I truly love this set! The wardrobe is made up of very study material that will withstand a Preschool classroom for many years to come!
