My students have benefited greatly from the resources that your donations provided. My students were thrilled when I shared with them that we had new letter centers and were very excited to explore and learn how to use them! \r\n\r\nDuring our daily learning centers, students learn literacy skills and foundational math skills. Within these learning centers, there is a daily letter station where there are six developmentally appropriate activities that focus specifically on learning the letter names and the letter sounds. My students learn to build the specific letter we are focusing on using the \"Construct a Letter\" learning activity. After they have discovered how to build the letter, they hammer it together using the tools provided and practice saying the letters' sound. \r\n\r\nI have incorporated the \"Magnetic Letter Builders\" during both our learning center rotations as well as our discovery center rotations. My students have enjoyed picking one of the letter cards and then figuring out which magnetic pieces they need to use in order to properly form and build the letter. After they build the letters, they enjoy collaborating with their group in order to put them in alphabetical order. \r\n\r\nThe fairytales that you donated were great additions to our fairy tale unit. Many of my students were not familiar with either Jack and the Beanstalk or Jack and the Beanstalk as told by the Giant. I always love introducing them to stories they have not yet heard. After reading both versions, they voted on which one they liked more and they actually liked the Giant's version better! \r\n\r\nThank you again for your support; it has made a huge difference for my students.
