The wide variety of filament colors has made this experience even more engaging, allowing them to experiment with creative, vibrant designs that reflect their individual ideas and personalities.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, my students are gaining real-world skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and iterative design—skills that will serve them well throughout their school years and into their future careers. Because of your generosity, our students now have the power cords, computer, and LAN switch they need to build, program, and compete with confidence.\r\n\r\nThe power cords and power strips have made an immediate and noticeable difference. Before, students often had to pause their work to hunt for an available outlet just to charge a battery or run a power tool. That downtime was frustrating and slowed momentum. Now, students can plug in and get straight to work anywhere in the room. They were genuinely excited to realize how much more efficient and productive their build sessions could be with something as simple—but essential—as reliable power access.\r\n\r\nThe computer has become the heart of our robotics lab. Students are using it to code their VEX robots and to run scrimmages right in our classroom. They track time, scores, and statistics, then analyze that data to improve their designs and strategies. This has helped them think more critically, work more collaboratively, and take ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nThe LAN switch ties everything together by connecting our computer to monitors and the internet, allowing students to collaborate, troubleshoot, and learn in a way that mirrors real-world technical environments.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, my students now have what they need to stay powered up.","fullyFundedDate":1763562840899,"projectUrl":"project/powered-up/9899261/","projectTitle":"Powered Up","teacherDisplayName":"Coach Sergeant Notto, First Class US Army","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10352309_orig.png?crop=1080,1080,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1763332106679","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10352309"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_98132","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2396,"numTeachers":118,"percentFrplEligible":52,"percentAsian":8,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":58,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":23,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"20.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":92.3,"schoolId":98132,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Steinbrenner High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Steinbrenner High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/hillsborough-county-public-school-district/steinbrenner-high-school/98132"}
